Hello! My name is Lauri Jacobs. I have been teaching second grade at Macon County Elementary School for 14 years. I earned my bachelor's, master's, and specialist degree from Georgia Southwestern State University. 

I miss all of my students very much! It is important that they continue to apply at home all the skills they have learned this year by reading, writing, and completing assignments. I am here if you need me. Please call, text, or email me if you have any questions or concerns.

     want it read to you.


Students should continue to work on Accelerated Reader, Accelerated Math, IXL, Moby Max, and Keenville. I have been checking the reports from those programs and they are doing a great job! 

Enrichment Work

Reading

  • Make sure you can spell the sight words should, said, because, every, people, through, about, laugh

  • Read two stories. Write a summary of the first story you read. Write a summary of the second story you read. Write a paragraph telling how the two stories are alike. Write a paragraph telling how the two stories are different.  
    (Summary- characters, setting, beginning, middle, and end)

  • Enjoy reading a book of your choice for as long as you want!

Practice Multiplication Facts 0-5 and 10. 

Rewrite the following problems. Do not forget to line up the ones, tens, and hundreds. Write in your best handwriting!
